Bear Cricket: Bats & Equipment [2026 Review]

April 1, 2026 by John Fuller Leave a Comment

Bear Cricket are gearing up club cricketers for the 2026 season with their popular range of bats, pads, gloves and luggage.

In this review (we have partnered for years), there’s a round-up of their cricket equipment to help you decide what to choose for batting or wicketkeeping duties this summer.

Bear Cricket Bats

Their premium cricket bats are made in Yorkshire with Grade 1 English willow as the minimum quality you can buy. There’s the option to upgrade to a ‘Players Edition’ for the absolute creme-de-la-creme, if grains and ping are your thing.

– Pre-knocked in

– Anti-scuff protection

– Choices of stickers

(There’s the classic colours or the new graffiti editions – released for 2026.)

Bear’s adult bat range is short handle and cricketers can choose between two weight ranges
(2.9lb – 2.12lb or 2.13lb – 3lb). Bats cost £399.95 (Grade 1) or £449.95 (Players Edition).

* Prices may vary so check their website for the latest deals.

🏏 To order – You can buy Bear Cricket bats online, or call / WhatsApp them on 07799 791565 to place an order. If you’d prefer a face to face purchase, again a quick WhatsApp can help set up an appointment to visit the shop and meet the owners.

The Polar Bear Cricket Bat

With its slightly longer handle and shorter blade, the Polar Bear bat combines sheer power with bat speed. If chunky edges are your thing, combined with a light pick-up, then go Polar!

Kodiak Bear Cricket Bat

The Kodiak is the largest bat that Bear Cricket offers. It is a dream for those power hitters who like to tee off with confidence. The Kodak, with its mid sweet spot and curved shape, boasts a surprisingly light pick-up which is down to how the English willow is dried.

Black Bear Cricket Bat

Taking guard with the Black Bear, you will eat the opposition bowling for breakfast. Its bat shape has an angular, sweeping spine and the mid sweet spot across the centre of the blade suits strokemakers.

Ussuri Bear Limited Edition Bat

The Ussuri LE (£469.95) stands out as the finest bat that Bear Cricket sells. This is stellar English willow normally reserved for international cricketers. The clean look with its transparent stickers, huge edges and a low centre has a distinctive character and mega performance.

Bear Cricket Graffiti Range

New for 2026, the Bear Cricket Polar, Kodiak and Black Bear bats also have graffiti stickers instead to mark their tenth anniversary. The fresh look retains each signature colour (Polar – light blue, Kodiak – dark blue/yellow and Black Bear – black) with a street art-inspired twist.

Bear Cub Junior Cricket Bat

Bear Cricket’s junior bat (Bear Cub) offers exactly the same quality of willow, balance and power as the adults. The bat has a slight bow to the blade and blends massive edges with that light pick-up so important for younger players. Juniors can pick up a Cub bat in Grade 1 or Players Edition willow, available in Harrow or sizes 4-6.

Bear Cricket Pads

Bear Cricket’s Pro Batting pads combine comfort with impressive protection that has been manufactured to cope with Test match bowling. The clean, all-white look has careful attention to detail for raps on the pads, moving at speed and long stays at the crease.

Bear Cricket pads come in a variety of sizes (Junior to Large Adult) with Left and Right hand products in their range. Prices are from £69.95 for juniors and £89.95 for adults.

Padded foam mesh paired with gel inserts in the knee area and padded straps ensure maximum player comfort.

Coloured Pro Batting Pads

Bear Cricket’s Coloured Pro batting pads (from £79.95) are available in navy, black or yellow to help match your teamwear in limited overs formats. Again, this is pro level design and manufacturing with the same pricing and choice of sizes as above.

Alternatively, you might prefer Batting Clads as a cost-effective way to transform your pads into coloured ones. The durable covers are simple to put on over your existing pads and come in six different colours.

Pro Wicket Keeping Pads

Wicketkeepers require cricket pads that allow for speed and agility along with a fit and feel that’s a personal thing. Trust in materials to do their job is key. Bear Cricket ambassadors include Jonny Tattersall (wicketkeeper-batter for Leicestershire, formerly Yorkshire captain).

The combo of lightweight and robust materials allow you to leap like a salmon to snaffle that one-handed catch an inch off the turf. The Coloured Pro pads, in black or navy, are perfect for short-format appearances with top-notch, high-density foam protection.

Pro Batting Gloves

Bear’s Pro Batting Gloves are a combination of padded protection with the flexibility and feel to play your shots.

The multi-sectioned gloves allows for grip and the cushioning technology absorbs any blows to the hands during practice or matches. There’s a supple, leather palm for comfort and durability, while mesh cotton taping on all fingers to encourage movement and airflow.

From £69.95, there are four sizes – Junior, Youth, Adult and Large Adult.

In addition, there are coloured keeper’s gloves in navy and black, as well as wicket keeping inners. The inners come with two options in half chamois /half lycra and full chamois.

Pro Wicket Keeping Gloves

Bear Cricket’s Pro wicketkeeping gloves have been engineered for maximum protection, comfort and superior grip. The webbing adheres to Test cricket standards while the highest quality aniline full grain leather gives both padding and durability.

The back of the hand and wrist areas are semi-perforated to allow ventilation on hot stints behind the stumps. There is an octopus design rubber sheet on the palm, together with inner flexible, rubber moulds on all fingertips and thumbs.

Cricket bags

Bear Cricket bags include a backpack, holdall, wheelie bag and two sizes of duffle bag. The luggage range is practical, spacious and well thought through. As with all of their products, they’ve been designed and tested by cricketers who understand the game.

For 2026, the team have introduced a large duffle bag that they feel rivals the best on the market. Its dimensions are 90cm x 34cm x 34cm. There are internal bat sleeves, generous storage capacity for equipment, separate boot compartment and a front accessories pocket.

Side pockets that run the full length of the bag and side netting for quick access give more ways to use it. There’s a top handle and padded, adjustable shoulder straps for when you’re on the move.

The large duffle is £79.95 and comes in either black/yellow or navy/yellow combinations.

Cricket Bat Covers

Bear Cricket Bat covers, for those who want to protect their precious willow from knocks and scrapes, are a smart buy.

The Premium Bat Cover means you can store your bat to make it last even longer all-year-round. Pristine, safe from the weather or an accidental stud in the changing room.

The weather-resistant outer material offers peace of mind, a front pocket adds storage and the modern branding, including Bear Cricket logo, looks the part.
