Change is in the air in this year’s White Rose Trophy; the end-of-season knockout competition to crown Yorkshire’s top Premier League club.
After Woodlands of the Bradford Premier League have dominated for the past two years; the only club to win back-to-back titles, they are not in the picture in 2024.
Instead, New Farnley have won the Bradford Premier League – and so they qualify for the semi-finals of the White Rose Trophy along with Cleethorpes (Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League), Richmondshire (NYSD) and Clifton Alliance (Yorkshire Premier League North).
It speaks to the changing fortunes and squad strength in Yorkshire’s Premier Leagues as the 2023 semi-finals were completely different: Woodlands, Sheffield Collegiate, Castleford and Saltburn.
