Brews on the Boundary: Travels to Yorkshire’s cricket clubs

May 6, 2026 by John Fuller 2 Comments

Brews on the Boundary: Travels to Yorkshire’s cricket clubs is my brand-new cricket book, due to be published in June 2026.

This is a snappy travelogue around Yorkshire’s cricket clubs from the 2024 & 2025 seasons with my adventures, conversations and observations. It’s a fun and easy read celebrating the grounds, teams and leagues, as I meet those volunteers – from groundskeepers to those who make the teas.

A signed, special edition hardback book is being released first to those cricket fans who pre-ordered, with a paperback due to be available later this summer on Amazon and in bookshops.

🏡 Grounds Visited:

Glasshouses, Stainland, Crakehall, Bradford & Bingley, Thornton, Saltaire, North Leeds, Duncombe Park, Sutton-in-Craven, Addingham, Castleford, Pannal, Gargrave, Low Moor Holy Trinity, Wath & Melmerby, Bowling Old Lane, Muff Field, Bingley Congs, Keighley, Booth, Embsay, Lofthouse & Middlesmoor, Hanging Heaton, Mytholmroyd, Headingley.

🏏 Leagues Featured:

Bradford Premier League, Halifax Cricket League, Nidderdale Cricket League, Aire-Wharfe Cricket League, Quaid-e-Azam Cricket League, Yorkshire Premier League North, Dales Council Cricket League, Craven Cricket League.

🏆 Cup Finals Visited:

K3 Dental Cup, Heavy Woollen Cup, Halifax League T20 Finals, Yorkshire Women’s County Softball Finals, Quaid-e-Azam League T20 and The Hundred Finals.

If you like my writing on cricketyorkshire.com and/or have read my previous books then this is an absolute must-read. (Says the author! 😁) Won’t be long now – and I’ll share updates on where you can purchase your copy.

I would be interested but I can’t identify any way of making the purchase!

Hi Sir Thomas, thanks for your comment on the website. The pre-orders window has closed to get your name in the book as we’ve just gone to print.
I’ll drop you an email around options. A few Nidderdale League grounds and matches included!
