🚀 How quickly can our cricket club get set up?
The truthful answer is that it partly depends on the capacity a club volunteer has to get up to speed with the equipment – but some clubs have streamed their game a week or two after receiving their kit.
Support is on hand online and by phone – as well as via WhatsApp from FrogBox on matchdays.
It’s worth talking to other clubs using FrogBox for their input.
☑️ How do we handle consent and child welfare?
Consent and the correct procedures with live streaming are vital but as long as processes are in place then it’s a popular way to add a new dimension to your club.
Here is the ECB’s Live Streaming Guidance – it includes getting consent from everyone who will be filmed (both clubs and umpires), signage and policies. Live streaming will link into wider safeguarding priorities at your club.
🏏 Compatibility with Play-Cricket?
You can set up FrogBox and then score with the ECB’s Play-Cricket Scorer app (mobile and tablet). Fans view the games as they happen using the Play-Cricket Live app. Or watch a replay on YouTube.
The live stream integrates the match footage with the Play-Cricket scorecard seamlessly, allied with high-quality graphics so there’s professional broadcasting brought to your club.
Add in the chance to promote your sponsors in various positions and it’s a very versatile product.
If your club wants to use Play-Cricket Scorer Pro (laptop-based scoring software) then that’s not an option with FrogBox. However, some clubs score on both laptop and phone or tablet to get the best of both worlds.
There are hundreds of clubs across the country using FrogBox from Premier Leagues to one-team outfits and it’s ultimately weighing up all of the functionality and what works best for your circumstances.
Feedback from White Rose Cricket Club
We’ve interviewed quite a few cricket clubs now who’ve bought FrogBox and used it for years (or are relative newcomers).
White Rose Cricket Club are based at Bradford Park Avenue and compete in the Premier Section of the Quaid e Azam Cricket League.
Nadeem Akhtar told me: “We chose FrogBox for our live streaming because it offers a reliable and user-friendly solution specifically designed for cricket clubs. The quality of the live stream is excellent, and it allows us to engage our supporters and members who cannot attend matches in person.”
Their favorite features of FrogBox?
“The ability to easily integrate sponsor logos into the live stream, which helps us generate additional revenue and promote our sponsors. Additionally, the integration with YouTube is fantastic, as it allows us to reach a wider audience and leverage our growing subscriber base to keep our community engaged and informed.”
Their subscribers have now reached 1,000+ which is a benchmark few clubs currently reach and speaks to the interest in Bradford and further.

“It has allowed us to showcase our matches live, bringing the excitement of the game to a broader audience and fostering a stronger connection with our supporters. This, in turn, has helped us attract new members and sponsors. Players behaviour has been improved since live streaming.”
***
The use of FrogBox taps into a broader momentum at Bradford Park Avenue where White Rose CC have new sponsorship deals such as White Rose Direct Cricket Store and Kashmiri Aroma restaurants.
I’m told they are big supporters of the club’s activities and development programmes. In addition, the club has been busy strengthening the squad for 2024 and have started well in the league.
Thanks to Nadeem for sharing his thoughts with us and good luck to White Rose for the remainder of the season.
