Best Cricket Website (League)
WINNER – Bradford Mutual Sunday School Cricket League
The Bradford Mutual Sunday School Cricket League website had something of an overhaul in 2022.
By adding more sections and content, it certainly acts as a one-stop shop for clubs, members, players and officials.
New features included a club directory page, past winners and records, a new umpires section, itemised league rules section and pages dedicated to sponsors.
The BMSSCL is an excellent example of using the ECB’s free Play-Cricket website but customising the look (as much as you can). I liked the navigation quick links, consistently updated news and photography.
Believe me, getting in touch with a club and a league can be trickier than you think. Here, contacts and photos add a personalised touch.
I’ve been consistent over the years in saying that I think the ECB’s Play-Cricket network is credible but limited. But given leagues have to use it, the Bradford Mutual Sunday School Cricket League have done a fantastic job.
