Anthony Burton (total-play Ltd) on non-turf cricket nets

July 27, 2024 by John Fuller 1 Comment

A decade ago, I first met Anthony Burton of Total Play Ltd at a winter event where a few companies were attending Sutton-in-Craven Cricket Club to chat with clubs in the area.

For years since, he has been heavily involved when it comes to supporting clubs realise their dream of new or upgraded non-turf cricket facilities in the North of England.

I thought a podcast was a good way to introduce you, the reader, to Anthony and his role, with a discussion of outdoor non-turf cricket nets and our mini-tour recently of clubs in Harrogate.

I’ve written about the facilities that Total Play has built in Yorkshire over the years and they were the very first ECB-approved supplier, trusted with projects for governing bodies, councils, schools and clubs across the country.

You might be curious or your cricket club or school could have a project in mind. Either way, hear from the man himself who’d be visiting your cricket ground to assess the art of the possible.

🎤 PODCAST INTERVIEW

In this Cricket Yorkshire podcast episode, Anthony discusses:

🗣️ Role with Total Play and how he can help clubs

👍 Some of the design / materials innovations and thinking

3️⃣ Three projects at Bilton, Harrogate & Pannal cricket clubs we both visited
