White Rose Cricket Club of the Quaid-e-Azam Premier League have had an impressive season by securing three trophies.
Their emphatic ‘treble’ includes the Premier Section of the Quaid-e-Azam Premier League which they won with a game to spare, having finished second to AK Eagles in 2024.
It is the first time White Rose CC have won the Premier Section and they’re the third club in six years to win the top division.
Only the game at Bhalot Strikers that was abandoned due to rain and a 1-run defeat to Rising Stars in the league prevented an unbeaten season in all competitions.
Meanwhile, they beat Bhalot Strikers in the T100 final at Bradford Park Avenue to retain their title. Further cup success has come in the form of the league’s cup contest. White Rose got past AK Eagles, Rising Stars, Bradford Riders and Karmand to win overall.
Lead performers
Gautam Waghela has blasted 809 runs at an average of 62 for the Park Avenue-based outfit with the highest individual score in the league this season of 169, against Kashmir (Dewsbury) in June.
Muhammed Rameez (23 wickets), Bhushan Talawedker (21 wickets) & Naveed Malik (21 wickets) were lead bowlers for the club.

Much like the dominance of New Farnley in the Bradford Premier League this season, no club can achieve that kind of success without a serious group effort.
For White Rose, it’s been centred around a hat-trick of Raqeeb Younis (captain), Farakh Hussain (Team Manager) and Chairman Nadeem Akhtar (above, left).
Remembering Zahid Iqbal
Nadeem told me: “This unforgettable season is dedicated to the late Zahid Iqbal (Asim) – a founding member of White Rose CC and an opening batsman whose passion for the game continues to inspire everyone at the club. His legacy was central to this triumph.”
