Reader Survey: Shaping Cricket Yorkshire in 2026

Hi, it’s John here at CYHQ. I trust autumn is treating you well and cricket remains on your radar. We will have weekly articles right the way through the Winter and into 2026.

I thought I’d put together a survey to get your feedback on the website and what we cover in future.

It’s not over yet but in 2025, we have given away prizes worth thousands of pounds thanks to our partners and covered everything from small rural leagues to the latest signings of Yorkshire’s five Premier Leagues.

Your stories, experiences and adventures in cricket have been truly inspiring.

I can’t recall a year with such volume or breadth which is pretty satisfying. That’s down to our writers and all you who are part of Cricket Yorkshire’s community contributing your views. Facebook is really cooking with millions of page views of our posts too.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to click, read, comment and share content as well as mentioning us when buying products from Cricket Yorkshire articles.

If you’ve clicking through and bought anything via this website then it all goes towards supporting our website partners and directly helping to fund the journalism we do here.

Clubs using products and services after reading about them on Cricket Yorkshire sometimes mention us when they enquire or place an order. This is huge and really appreciated. It shows parting with us works.

Partnering with a selection of organisations across the year means we can continue to be proudly different.

We don’t plaster this website with impenetrable adverts that hide articles, nor force you to do surveys, or show you the same advert six times in a 200-word feature. There is no miracle cream or celebrity gossip snuck in at the bottom of the page.

But, we are exploring ways to make what Cricket Yorkshire does more sustainable and to offer other ways to cover the game – which is why the survey asks about optional paid digital memberships.

All of which is a preamble to our world-famous Reader Survey to understand what you like, what you want to see more of and how I can make Cricket Yorkshire even better.
