Club Cricket Book: Dales, Bails and Cricket Club Tales

November 12, 2024 by John Fuller 2 Comments

Come on a journey around Yorkshire’s club cricket grounds with my latest book, Dales, Bails and Cricket Club Tales.

Available on Kindle and in paperback via Amazon, these are the dramas, landscapes and matches from the 2022 and 2023 seasons, with my travels around the region to clubs, grounds and games of all standards.

The Grove (Ilkley), Kemps (Malton), The Stripey Badger (Grassington), Truman Books (Farsley) and The Whitby Bookshop (Whitby) all stock copies.

(If you buy my book via this website, as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. To decipher that for you, I earn a few pence extra per copy which all helps.)

The book is a curated collection of articles that have been on this very website; an enjoyable read to look back on recent seasons or to discover clubs and grounds you didn’t know about.

Want to treat yourself? Know a cricket fan whose birthday is coming up?
Dales, Bails and Cricket Club Tales is a great gift.

John, In 2017 I compiled a history on Broughton and Kirby in the Langbaurgh West Rural League for the period 1929-1939.
If you would like a copy and you think it relevant to Yorkshire village cricket you are more than welcome.

Hi Tim, well done for compiling the history, these things take time and dedication.
I tend not to do histories but imagine you’d find quite a difference in the game in the 100 years since.
Enjoy your village cricket wherever it takes you this season.
