Full fibre broadband provider brsk continues expanding across West Yorkshire, offering a reliable, rapid and reasonably priced connection to thousands more homes and businesses. (Over 110,000 to be precise!)
In this content collaboration with our website partner, we’ll share community news, get the latest plans in West Yorkshire and hear from Keighley Cricket Club who have installed brsk themselves.
Community News
Brsk don’t want to just drop in their full fibre broadband services and then disappear, they’re actively involved in community causes, clubs and events across West Yorkshire where they’re building their broadband network.
Plug in your postcode to use brsk’s interactive tool and check the status as ready for service, in build or coming soon.
Across the UK, 600,000 homes can access better broadband thanks to brsk, they also serve Lancashire, Greater Manchester (which has now expanded to parts of Cheshire and Merseyside) and West Midlands regions.
Brsk’s (literal) connection to residents and business owners in the Bradford district is deep-rooted. Late last year, they celebrated their 10,000th customer in Bradford, having begun in Cottingley, near where I live.
(I’ve been a customer for about 3 years and Brsk has helped to power our website for that time.)
Community news in Yorkshire
Recent community news includes Brsk sponsored the recent Bradford Means Business Awards, and have worked with Buttershaw Community Centre to fund a community Public Access Defibrillator (cPAD).
Brsk have also connected a number of community centres to their broadband for free across West Yorkshire, Elland Community Centre being the most recent one.
In addition, they sponsored and took part in the Sue Ryder Manorlands PaintRush; a 5km fun run, jog or walk at Bradford & Bingley Sports Club that raised funds for the charity that supports those reaching end of life and offers bereavement support.
Brsk are well established across West Yorkshire with a number of sports partnerships ongoing across the region, including Bradford City AFC, Bradford Bulls, Keighley Cougars, and Field Ladies AFC, to name a few.
Keighley Cricket Club
Like everyone else, cricket clubs require fast and affordable broadband for the clubhouse, as well as their members needing a great service too.
I heard from Stephen Butterfield of Keighley Cricket Club, who have switched to brsk.
He told me: “Like all clubs, we have seen a huge increase in our outgoings for utilities. We sat down and reviewed them all to see if we could save money. We had seen that Brsk had recently installed broadband at Keighley Cougars and contacted them for a quote. This led to us meeting with Ross and the partnership came about.”
There are several ways that Brsk can help the club cricket community in West Yorkshire. Clubs can tap into better broadband services themselves but they can also act as an affiliate for Brsk, earning a £75 Amazon voucher each time for both parties.
That’s funds for the club and their members if anyone signs up with Brsk.
For Stephen and Keighley CC, it was a significant upgrade:
“Brsk have been great, the installation was completed within one week and the speeds are 10 times quicker than our previous supplier and for a lower price.”
I caught up with Ross Hardaker, the Community Engagement Marketing Manager from brsk. He said: “We’re passionate about two things…providing fantastic award-winning service, and supporting the local communities where we build our network.”
He added: “West Yorkshire holds a special place in the heart of brsk as the place it first started, since then our coverage has grown rapidly and we have thousands of happy customers getting the world-class service they deserve.
We’re constantly growing and connecting further areas, enabling homes and businesses to have a choice in providers, meaning that they don’t have to suffer from ancient, outdated copper broadband any more.”
Brsk expand in West Yorkshire
The success of brsk in offering a reliable, cost-effective alternative to the likes of Sky, Virgin and BT means they are able to bring fast full fibre services to over 110,000 homes currently in West Yorkshire and are still growing.
With coverage from Keighley to Halifax, brsk recently expanded their network to Calderdale, and are set to connect nearly 50,000 homes there; great news for residents and businesses in that part of Yorkshire!
At the moment, 23,000 homes and businesses across Brighouse, Elland, Hipperholme, Bailiff Bridge, Hove Edge, Woodhouse, Rastrick, Lower Edge, Greetland, Stainland, Sowood and Holywell Green can receive full fibre courtesy of brsk, with a plan to connect 47,000 homes in the area in total, so that thousands more can enjoy lightning-fast internet speeds, seamless video streaming and robust connectivity.
The good news is they’re not stopping there, they build and connect more streets every day, and will be announcing further areas that will be able to enjoy better broadband with brsk very soon.
