The Cricket Yorkshire 50 shortlist is back for 2021 – and you’re invited to share who you think should be included!
It’s been going a few years now but the Cricket Yorkshire 50 is this website’s annual shortlist of 50 names across Yorkshire recreational cricket.
It’s a chance to celebrate the achievements of players, officials, coaches, volunteers and anyone who has made a difference in this incredibly challenging year.
To nominate someone, please fill out the form below. The nominations deadline is by midnight this Sunday 12 September.
It’s not a guarantee of inclusion as you can imagine how many worthwhile nominees are involved across Yorkshire recreational cricket – but you stand a better chance.
A bit of advice on nominations, any stats for playing performances help so ‘500 runs and 50 wickets in League 2, Division 4b’ is better than ‘she batted and bowled really well all season.’ Use your 100 words to explain the impact/difference someone has made.
Assume we know nothing about your club, league or circumstances so as much specific detail helps with nominations.
It absolutely doesn’t have to be about playing so umpiring, scoring, running junior teams, coaching, fundraising or responding to Covid-19 are all relevant.
Thanks and best of luck – the CY50 will be announced later in September.
