Cheteshwar Arvind Pujara is here. Well, not here in the Cricket Office office, that really would be a scoop.
No, he’s arrived at Yorkshire County Cricket Club and Friday morning saw the sun shine at Headingley and he was into the nets to shake off the jetlag.
As an Indian coming to Yorkshire to play county cricket, Pujara follows in Sachin’s footsteps and the hope from team mates, coaches and fans is that he can see off the seaming ball in English conditions and help the county champions to a flying start.
There’s no doubt Pujara has all the attributes to anchor in and score massively.
A warm welcome and best of luck to Cheteshwar from cricketyorkshire.com, ahead of his debut against Worcestershire on Sunday 12 April at New Road.
