We’re excited to share that Lacuna Sports is partnering with Cricket Yorkshire to showcase the choices available to women’s and girls’ teams when it comes to their kit.
Founded by Leigh Burns in 2019 to address the lack of choice available for female athletes, the popular brand has become the leading female cricket teamwear provider in the UK. Our collaboration will raise awareness of the importance of kit designed specifically for women and girls.

Ill-fitting clothing has been to shown to discourage women and girls from playing or stay involved in the game. Lacuna’s mission is to change that with bespoke teamwear for all ages, body shapes and sizes, helping more women and girls feel supported, confident and able to focus on their cricket.
“We’re genuinely excited about the great things we can do together,” said Leigh Burns, Founder of Lacuna Sports.
“Cricket Yorkshire is such a respected and deeply rooted organisation within this dominant cricket county, and we see a natural alignment between our missions. Together, we can help shine a light on what’s possible for women and girls in cricket – from grassroots right up to the Women’s Premier Leagues.”
I’ve been interviewing clubs using Lacuna Sports and the feedback is fantastic. There will be a future article here on the website on their ranges, points of difference and thought leadership. It’s a partnership that will discuss women and girls cricket from different angles as well as the important role that clothing plays – can’t wait!
