FrogBox just got even better for 2026

February 20, 2026 by John Fuller Leave a Comment

FrogBox has released its NextGen V2 camera in time for the UK’s 2026 season. The club cricket live streaming kit includes a Full HD camera, single cable set-up and bluetooth-controlled tilt and zoom, with better audio.

Using this updated tech, cricket clubs can offer live broadcasts of games on YouTube and Play-Cricket with scores overlaid, and sponsor placements for income generation.

Cricket Yorkshire is once again partnering with FrogBox and in this article, I’ll dive into what’s included, benefits, prices and opportunities for current customers too.

🏏 Your cricket club can also book a call with Chris Watling to learn more. Below is a video with Zac introducing the new camera and its features.

FrogBox Camera

The FrogBox camera is a significant upgrade to your club’s live streaming experience. The improved camera can stream in full HD (1080p) with built-in stability control.

Ideally for the UK, the latest FrogBox camera has a weather-resistant shell with a sun shield to cut out the glare on brighter days.

The sports audio has been engineered for cricket so it’ll crisply capture the satisfying sound of willow detonating a six into another dimension or a yorker rattling the stumps.

The tech is smart enough to recognise ambient atmosphere like triumphant whoops of celebration while filtering out background noise. The 10 x optical zoom will be handy on larger grounds to get in closer to the action if you want.

FrogBox accessories

As well as the FrogBox camera, your kit includes an encoder to ensure reliable video processing and automated streaming. It is 4G and ethernet enabled (SIM not included).

The strong, lightweight tripod (provided) is crucial for that all-important, stable footage. While many clubs set up their FrogBox at one ground, it is designed to be portable, if the away team don’t have live streaming or there’s a key match at another venue.

On that note, the durable bag means you can easily transport everything and keep it dry and protected.

FrogBox Go Streaming Pass

FrogBox Go is where your cricket club volunteers can set up a match to be live streamed. Everything in one place:

  • Upload club logo and sponsor branding
  • Schedule streams
  • Overlay Play-Cricket scores
  • Broadcast live on YouTube
  • Live stream diagnostics and previews before going live
  • Automatic highlights creation
  • Live chat with matchday support team

FrogBox Go now has ‘highlight correction’ so if a scorer clicks on the ‘bowler running in’ button at the wrong time, this can be retrospectively changed. Say a clip cuts off too early, it’s quick to update and this will edit the scorecards and apps like FrogBox Play & Lilypad.

FrogBox integrations

Frogbox connects with the Play-Cricket Scorer app (phone or tablet) which means that scorecards from the ECB’s platform are layered onto the live feed in real-time. Via FrogBox Go, linking up with a club’s YouTube channel is easy.

(🔥 The example above shows Darfield Cricket Club’s sponsors at the start of a game with a range of placements and timings).

FrogBox clips every ball so there is a ready-made archive for clubs. They get 12 months’ access to Lilypad: Pick out highlights from any match then compile them into playlists for sharing.

There’s also FrogBox Play, a feed of grassroots cricket from around the world; available in the App Store and Google Play. Search for clips, share and save your favourites.

What are the benefits of using FrogBox?

The benefits of using FrogBox range from capturing incredible moments to increasing your club’s audience and boosting income. It’s a selling point for future members and a useful coaching tool.

Most powerfully, FrogBox is a huge talking point within clubs and leagues right across the summer. Match footage provides endless entertainment and a steady stream of content for social media or internal use.

How much does FrogBox cost?

For clubs starting their live streaming adventure, a FrogBox package costs £2,380 incl VAT & delivery from March 2026.

It includes:

  • FrogBox NextGen Version 2 Kit with delivery within the United Kingdom
  • FrogBox Go Streaming Pass (12-month access)
  • Lilypad – Clip library (12-month access)
  • Integrated with Play-Cricket and Play-Cricket Scorer (mobile and tablet)

*After initial 12-months, an ongoing annual FrogBox Go Streaming Pass (£400 inc.VAT) will apply. Cancel your pass at any time.

Pricing for current FrogBox clubs

Existing FrogBox customers can trade in their old camera and get money off. The standard price for clubs looking to upgrade / trade in is £1,650 + VAT for a new V2 kit.

Clubs can also buy additional kits including streaming pass for £1,984 + VAT each.
