Crazy Catch Upstart + 3 Crazy Balls
Crazy Catch has been at the forefront of innovative cricket training for years. Their rebound net is used by England internationals and village cricketers alike to test reflexes.
Perfect for throwing and catching drills at home, it’s adjustable, portable and can be used anywhere. A lawn, garage…bedroom (I didn’t say that!)
The Upstart has two sides for added variety: The green side has small double netting for a totally unpredictable / INSANE rebound.
You can use it with a football, netball or rugby ball to train across sports or just mix up your cricket practice.
This Kwik Cricket set comes with bats, balls, stumps & bag with an option of three sizes, depending on the age of the cricketers.
With 2 age-appropriate cricket bats, 2 sets of plastic stumps and 2 cricket Incrediballs, you’re quickly ready for winner-takes-all at home or a socially-distancing match on a deserted beach.
Game on!
The Paceman Original S2 Bowling Machine
I’m assuming you can’t build your own bowling machine, as one dad in Kent managed for his cricket-mad son.
It made me think of The A-Team when they would construct a plane from a screwdriver, bag of Monster Munch and a pair of earplugs.
By comparison, The Paceman Original is more sturdy but doesn’t include crisps.
It’s an affordable bowling machine if you want to set up cricket training at home and oil that cover drive for when matches return.
The Paceman offers in-swing, out-swing and speeds of up to 55mph. You can set lengths and get reliable deliveries where you need them to be time and again.
Smart batting practice is only as useful as the feed.
A lack of bowling accuracy or throwdowns that pitched in the right place was a common problem until Sidearm came along.
With a bit of practice, you can generate decent pace and it takes the strain off your bowling.
They’ve become a household training aid for cricketers and coaches of all standards and ages.
What else allows you to train to face hostile fast bowling and also offer hours of fun for the family dog?
Katchet Training Aid
You’ll notice this cricket shortlist has a number of simple, well-designed products that have been around for years.
Katchet has nailed effective cricket practice through its instantly recognisable orange ramp for catching.
Weather-proof, portable and able to offer unpredictable but realistic challenges, there are lots of games and drills to incorporate one.
It just works.
