Todmorden to Harrogate: Bespoke Scoreboards in 2026

Cricket scoreboards for clubs and schools are that integral necessity, especially as numbers of teams expand with multiple grounds in use.

Both utilitarian and a memorable feature in many cases, the scores on the lit digits always tell an important story.

In this feature with Bespoke Scoreboards, we’ll dive into the clubs, projects and products that the Morley-based family business has been supplying since last season.

Club cricket scoreboards in 2026

At Todmorden Cricket Club (above), Nevil Sutcliffe told me about this season’s upgrades.

“The scoreboard was installed the week before the first league match; we had to play a pre-season game with a temporary board. We had a bit of the jitters that it wouldn’t be ready for the season but Jennifer assured us all would be well and it was, just in time.

The layout of our ground and pavilion makes it difficult to see the front of the board from everywhere, so we have a smaller repeater on the side of the scoreboard building showing total, wickets, and overs.

“We also have a TV-size repeater scoreboard in the members’ bar showing target, total, wickets, and overs. This has prompted lots of complimentary remarks from visitors as well as our own bar-dwelling window watchers, and bar and kitchen staff.”

He noted: “The installation was problem-free, from scaffold delivery to completion and scaffold removal.”

Over at Londesborough Park (above), this handsome red-brick building now has a smart scoreboard, while Gilberdyke opted for a new 8×4 trolley board, inspired by the set-up at Walkington. Londesborough Park’s Honorary Secretary Charlie Rook told me:

“Bespoke Scoreboards offered a great service from initial contact to final install, they couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful in guiding us in providing the scoreboard we required.”

He added: “The (Bespoke) team provided a quality product and were always there to assist our scorers in setting up the Play-Cricket Interface. I would highly recommend them!”

Meanwhile, at Harrogate CC, their Daktronics scoreboard was replaced with Bespoke electronics (kept digits), new Play-Cricket Scorer Interface, plus a trolley-mounted repeater for their second ground.

Harrogate’s George Hazel-Owram said:

“We have been delighted with Bespoke Scoreboards. They have fitted an entirely new scoreboard for our front pitch which was a significant task – the brick structure housing it was kept but the remainder of the scoreboard was a replacement. It was updated as the old one was 20 years old but we also wanted to add DLS etc to it.”

He continued: “We have also recently installed a small trolley mounted scoreboard for the second ground. We have been delighted with both products and also the service provided by Bespoke Scoreboards – very friendly and helpful and always willing to offer practical advice about what will and will not work. We would highly recommend them.”
