Welcome to the 2022 Cricket Yorkshire Awards, our very own online awards celebrating the best websites, social media, photos and video throughout Yorkshire grassroots cricket.
Aimed at cricket clubs and leagues, fans, writers and photographers, they are free to enter and here are the categories up for grabs:
- Best Cricket Website (Club/League)
- Best Use of Social Media
- Cricket Photo of the Year
- Best Use of Video Award
If you have a slick club or league website you’re proud of; use social media smartly; take photos that dazzle or are creating and sharing video content then enter today!
Aside from a winner in each category, there may be shortlisted entrants too.
We’re delighted to welcome two awards sponsors in Pitchero and FrogBox.
Pitchero offers a complete solution for cricket clubs with an impressive website and smart mobile apps. Manage membership, ace availability and selection, collect match fees, promote sponsors and much more.
FrogBox provides a live streaming kit to enable clubs to broadcast matches live to YouTube, while overlaying scores from Play-Cricket. High-quality footage with the ability to showcase sponsors on-screen and have automatic highlights ready to share.
Both companies are ECB-approved suppliers, work with Play-Cricket and are popular choices with many cricket clubs across the UK.
Why should Cricket Clubs Enter?
There will be recognition and promotion via all CY channels with 15,000 following Cricket Yorkshire on Facebook and Twitter.
All those shortlisted will be included in an awards article and get a badge to proudly display on your website.
Entries are open until Wednesday 9 November at 9pm and the winners will be revealed on our website in November.

Best Use of Social Media
How has your cricket league or club used social media and what’s been the benefit in the last year? New members? Fundraising? Sponsorship bump? Membership increase?
Cricket Photo of the Year
Calling all amateur photographers… do you take stunning portraits, landscapes or action shots? Email us a maximum of three images per person – 1MB file size limit with a bit about each photo (when, where, why you like it).
*We may use submitted photography on the Cricket Yorkshire website, with an appropriate credit, in a future article about the Awards or on our social media.
Best Use of Video Award
This category is aimed at cricket clubs and it might be drone footage, a clip that went viral from your phone, a welcome video you’ve produced or live-streaming matches.
Share the footage and explain the reasons for doing it and the impact it’s made.
GOOD LUCK!
